\"\"<\/a>Life is busy, right? It can be calm one minute and then frantic,\u00a0hectic, crazed and downright insane the next. With so much going on in\u00a0our lives it can be a challenge to carve out a little slice of “me\u00a0time” to help balance things out and keep you from going nuts.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the year if you resolved to improve your health<\/a> and physical fitness and actually started working out and eating better you’ve already taken one giant step towards doing\u00a0something great for yourself that honors that resolve to be healthy –\u00a0congratulations! Now, here’s the kicker – don’t sabotage your efforts\u00a0by not honoring your workouts. What do I mean by that? Here are some\u00a0examples….<\/p>\n

* Skipping your workouts to go home and sit on the couch or go out\u00a0for dinner and drinks with friends because you don’t feel like
\nworking out or think you’ll be missing something.
\n* Putting forth half-baked efforts in your workouts by not working to\u00a0your maximum intensity level.
\n* Talking on the cell phone while on the treadmill, elliptical,\u00a0stationary bike or even while doing resistance training.
\n* Texting while on the treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike or even\u00a0while doing resistance training.
\n* Spending more time socializing at the gym than working out.
\n* Focusing more on what’s on the TV screen in the gym rather than the\u00a0effort you’re putting into your workout.
\n* “Rewarding” yourself after a “hard” workout with a pizza and beer\u00a0or some other poor food choice.<\/p>\n
